  I’m from New Brunswick and on the east coast, we deal with snow storms on a... well... almost on a daily basis. For example, we are expecting 35 cm of snow on Thursday, but for us, we get up, remove snow and go to work... but I can understand that it’s not the “norm” on your island. Here, it’s business as usual... but we see this type of weather every week from November to April.

  We left Nanaimo in the morning for a visit here and had $ to spend. We stoped there around 2pm and they seemed offended by the fact that we parked in there driveway while it was still being plowed. I was really disappointed by the way we were welcomed... armes flailing and being told to leave...
